We have developed a range of modifications over the years that are designed to improve the original design, and extend the lifespan of the product. Some modifications are quite simple to carry out, requiring no more than a change of a chip using just a screwdriver. However, there are also modifications that require the use of a soldering iron. Those kind of mods should only be attempted by skilled soldering DIYers.
